The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is asking for the public’s help to locate a suspect involved in an armed robbery that left a store employee injured in central Edmonton on Thursday afternoon.
At approximately 2:30 p.m. on November 14, 2024, a man and a woman entered a convenience store near 93 Street and 107A Avenue to steal merchandise. The attempted theft escalated into a confrontation with two store employees. As the suspects fled, the male suspect reportedly produced a firearm and shot one of the employees.
Emergency Medical Services (EMS) quickly arrived on the scene and the injured employee was transported to the hospital. Officials confirmed that the injuries were non-life-threatening, and the employee is expected to recover.
Shortly after the incident, police apprehended the female suspect, identified as 20-year-old Keyara Vye, just a few blocks from the scene. Following her arrest, Vye was charged with robbery and several firearms-related offences.
The male suspect, identified as 20-year-old Nevaeh Auger, remains at large. EPS has issued warrants for his arrest and is urging the public to come forward with any information about his whereabouts.
EPS has encouraged anyone who may have seen Auger or has information about the case to contact their non-emergency line at 780-423-4567 or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
Authorities have emphasized the importance of public vigilance but have also advised against approaching Auger, as he may still be armed.
