Toronto Police Seek Public’s Help in Attempted Murder Investigation

Toronto, ON — The Toronto Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Warren Dwyer, 44, who is wanted in connection with an attempted murder investigation. The incident occurred in the Queen Street West and King Street West area on the morning of August 3, 2024.

Today, at approximately 9:08 a.m., police responded to a call reporting an unknown trouble situation in the busy downtown area. According to police reports, an altercation between the suspect and the victim escalated, resulting in a violent assault.

It is alleged that during the argument, the suspect assaulted the victim with a hammer. The victim subsequently fled the scene and was later transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

Warren Dwyer, the man identified as the suspect in this case, is described as follows:

  • Weight: 175 lbs
  • Build: Thin
  • Hair: Short brown
  • Eyes: Grey
  • Distinctive Marks: Tattoo of a chain around his neck
