The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has acted swiftly following the confiscation of prohibited firearms. Andrew Case, a US traveler, is now facing charges after three banned firearms, along with a silencer and over-capacity magazines, were found in his vehicle during an inspection at the Abbotsford-Huntingdon port of entry in British Columbia on May 6, 2023.

The CBSA’s Pacific Region Criminal Investigations Section launched a probe that culminated in charges against Mr. Case on August 1, 2023. These charges encompass unauthorized firearm possession, possession of prohibited devices, and making false statements under the Customs Act.

Mr. Case is scheduled to appear in court on October 19, 2023. The CBSA remains steadfast in its commitment to community safety.
