Toronto Police Seek Help Identifying Break-and-Enter Suspects

Toronto police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects involved in a recent break-and-enter incident in the Carlaw Avenue and Gerrard Street East area. The suspects, a man and a woman, were caught on surveillance footage and are now the focus of an ongoing investigation led by Toronto’s 55 Division.

According to police reports, the incident took place on Friday, September 6, 2024, around 5:40 p.m. The man and woman entered a local business in the bustling Carlaw and Gerrard Street area while the establishment was still open. Authorities believe the pair managed to stay hidden inside the business until it closed.

Once the premises were vacant, the suspects targeted a safe within the business, taking an undisclosed amount of money along with various other items. The exact value of the stolen goods remains unknown, but police are investigating the matter thoroughly and are seeking any relevant information from the public to aid their efforts.

Investigators have provided detailed descriptions of the two individuals involved, along with images taken from surveillance footage in hopes that someone might recognize them:

Described as a man between the ages of 30 and 35, of medium build, with black scruffy hair and a clean-shaven face. At the time of the incident, he was wearing black framed glasses, a black sleeveless shirt, blue shorts, and black shoes.
Described as a woman also aged 30 to 35, with a thin build and long black hair styled in a bun. She was seen wearing a dark-coloured jacket, a short skirt, and white shoes.

The Toronto Police Service is urging anyone with information regarding the incident or the suspects to come forward. Individuals with relevant details are asked to contact the police at 416-808-5500.
