Canada’s Border Services Agency, Mississauga, ON (CBSA) has struck a blow against illegal drugs by seizing over 3.3 tonnes of dangerous chemicals used to make MDMA and other harmful substances. The chemicals, PMK ethyl glycidate and 1,4-butanediol, arrived from Asia in separate shipments at Toronto Pearson International Airport. These chemicals are instrumental in the creation of psychoactive substances that can potentially induce physical and sexual assaults, apart from evoking drastic changes in mood, awareness, and behavior by impacting the central nervous system.
