Edmonton Police Seek Help Identifying Deceased Man Found in October

The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is asking for the public’s help in identifying a man whose body was discovered last October in central Edmonton. Despite extensive efforts to confirm the man’s identity, the EPS has yet to make a connection.

On October 10, 2024, police were called to the area of 107 Avenue and 99 Street after a deceased male was found. At this point, police do not believe the death was suspicious in nature, but the man’s identity remains unknown.

According to the EPS, the man is described as being in his 20s or 30s, around 5’9” tall, weighing approximately 134 pounds, with hazel eyes and black hair. He also has a faded cross tattoo on his left wrist, along with a small scar above it. When found, he was wearing a black-and-white patterned Under Armour sweater with red drawstrings and detailing.

“It’s the hope of the Missing Persons Unit that this image enhancement will assist us in finding a family member or friend who may recognize and identify this man,” says Cst. Josh Filion of the Missing Persons Unit.

The EPS is now asking anyone who recognizes the man or has any relevant information to come forward. Tips can be provided by calling the Edmonton Police Service at 780-423-4567 or texting #377 on a mobile phone.
