Motorcyclist Dies in Late-Night Collision in Scarborough

A tragic collision occurred late Saturday night in Scarborough, resulting in the death of a 28-year-old motorcyclist. The accident, which took place yesterday, at approximately 9:53 p.m., marks the 26th fatal collision in Toronto for the year 2024.

Police from the Traffic Services Unit responded to the scene of a single-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle on Nugget Avenue at Markham Road. The rider, a 28-year-old man, was reportedly traveling westbound on Nugget Avenue when he lost control and struck a tree.

Emergency services were promptly dispatched to the scene following the report of the collision. The motorcyclist was transported to a nearby hospital by medics. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, the rider succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased shortly after arrival.
