Chaudière Crossing Shut Down for Canada Day Celebrations

Gatineau, Quebec, June 30, 2023 – In a recent announcement by Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC), it has been confirmed that the Chaudière Crossing will experience a complete closure, affecting all forms of traffic. This closure will be in effect from Saturday, July 1, starting at 6 am, until Sunday, July 2, concluding at 2 am. The purpose of this closure is to facilitate the smooth conduct of Canada Day festivities.

During this time, pedestrians and cyclists are advised to make use of the alternative route via the Portage Bridge in order to access Ottawa. It is important for users to exercise caution while traveling and adhere to the instructions provided by the authorities.
